- This little town was the first successful application of interchangeable manufacture
- It saw the arrival of the first successful American railroad
- John Brown lead an attack on slavery here
- Harpers Ferry was home to the largest Federal troop surrender during the Civil War
- This was also one of the earliest integrated schools in the United States educating former slaves.
Harpers Ferry as a deep and rich history, a visit to the tiny town feels like a step back in time 150 years ago!
We toured the little town and our hearts yearned to go back to small town America where you can live in peace, where neighbors care about each other and where there's no such things as manners, the motto is simply, love on another.
We realize now how amazingly blessed we were to live in the beautiful Heber valley surrounded by the most loving, wonderful people in all of America. Harpers Ferry reminded us of the great things about America....namely....small town life!
Enjoy this little video clip of our tour of the beautiful town of Harpers Ferry in West Virginia. If you want to learn some of America's greatest history, do a search of Harpers Ferry on the internet and you will learn a lot about American History! Enjoy!
