This was an absolutely amazing experience, I will never forget the absolute reverence, the spirit felt while walking through this cemetery is life changing. All the men and women that have given their lives for our freedom, it brings tears to my eyes.

Even the kids walked with careful reverence while we were here, they spoke reverently and I was so proud of them.

I want to show you a video of the cemetery but before I do I want to show you a couple of pictures.

Here is the sign pointing the way to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. There is a guard protecting this tomb, 24 hours a day 7 days a week rain or shine!!

One of the most heart warming stories about this tomb.

A hurricane was coming and the soldier was told to take cover, but the soldier guarding ths tomb would not leave, he walked in perfect formation through the storm to show his ultimate devotion to those fallen soldiers whose names are known only to God.

We sat on the steps and watched this soldier guard this tomb, you could feel the spirit here so strongly. The soldiers energy was infectious and you couldn't help but just watch in awe and respect.

It was truly mezmorizing to sit in this place and respect those fallen soldiers.

Please watch our video of our amazing trip to the Arlington National Cemetery.

A Peaceful Thanksgiving!!

A Peaceful Thanksgiving!

This was the most exciting Thanksgiving I have ever had!! I woke up at 6am and couldn't sleep. I finally jumped out of bed to run down and start making my 'peaceful' Thanksgiving dinner!! To me this was a monumental occasion in my life!!

We had:

  • Homemade Tofurkey
  • Mashed potatoes and Gravy
  • Green bean casserole in 'cream' sauce with homemade onion rings
  • Cranberry salad in 'whip creme'
  • Yam Casserole with oat maple cinnamon crumb topping
  • croissant rolls
  • Orange rolls, Not pictured
  • Tempeh 'sausage' stuffing
  • Ranch corn
  • Ranch dressing not pictured
  • Salad not pictured
Chocolate Mousse Pie

Dessert
Dairy free Chocolate Mousse Pie!!!! Oh yes, this was rich, creamy and DELICIOUS!!! Dave has gained a lot of weight since Thanksgiving on this one. He almost ate the whole thing to himself that weekend!!!

You can make fun of vegetarians all you want, I'll just sit and enjoy my guilt free food :-D

Warm Apple Pie with cinnamon oat crumble!!

Here is my famous Apple pie with crumb topping. I actually made this a while back with a Hot Carmel sauce, Oooooo it was positively SINFUL!!!
Carmel Apple Pie!

Yes, this contributed to my little one pound weight gain the next day. :-P

Egg Nog

I know what you are thinking, you HATE egg nog. No you don't hate egg nog, you hate that chemical, scary crap in the grocery store that tastes like sugar on steroids in heavy syrup!!!

This is a light cashew cream egg nog and it is heavenly, even for die hard egg not haters like me. I LOVE this stuff. Camdyn couldn't keep out of it, he loved it.

Anyone who wants some healthy recipes, let me know these are all yummy.

Pumpkin Pie

The main event!!! Pumpkin pie, this was so good!! Yes, I ate all the desserts and it was amazing!!

Unfortunately I cannot find the picture of my delicious PECAN PIE! I had never had pecan pie before but I must say, my recipe was amazing, it even beat out the chocolate pie for me!!! Yes, it was THAT good!!! I think I want to make Thanksgiving dinner every year, it was fun, I loved every minute of it and there was no turkey to be found! An absolutely heavenly Thanksgiving.

The Latest Family Adventures!!

Halloween in Virginia

Well I must admit, we REALLY missed grandpas 'One Of A Kind' foam costumes this year.

We ended up resorting to good ole WalMart. Yes, I know BORING!!! But what can I say, we are on a budget and I don't know the area very well, so here you have WalMart costumes. Yes, half the kids that came trick or treating had the same costumes but oh well.

Maybe Grandpa will be nice enough to make us costumes for next year and send them to us in the mail!!

Mommy has been avoiding being in pictures, I don't know what it is but I look horrendous in every single picture and end up being depressed for a week bawling to Dave about how ugly I am, so we'll skip the drama and watch Dave and the kids!

Pumpkin carving!! I tried to roast pumpkin seeds but I burned them, so we made cookies instead!!

I haven't posted in a while and we have a lot of posts so I'll keep this one short and sweet and just post a video for you.

Harpers Ferry West Virginia

Harpers Ferry West Virginia

Harpers Ferry is a Key little town in American History

  • This little town was the first successful application of interchangeable manufacture
  • It saw the arrival of the first successful American railroad
  • John Brown lead an attack on slavery here
  • Harpers Ferry was home to the largest Federal troop surrender during the Civil War
  • This was also one of the earliest integrated schools in the United States educating former slaves.

Harpers Ferry as a deep and rich history, a visit to the tiny town feels like a step back in time 150 years ago!

We toured the little town and our hearts yearned to go back to small town America where you can live in peace, where neighbors care about each other and where there's no such things as manners, the motto is simply, love on another.

We realize now how amazingly blessed we were to live in the beautiful Heber valley surrounded by the most loving, wonderful people in all of America. Harpers Ferry reminded us of the great things about America....namely....small town life!

Enjoy this little video clip of our tour of the beautiful town of Harpers Ferry in West Virginia. If you want to learn some of America's greatest history, do a search of Harpers Ferry on the internet and you will learn a lot about American History! Enjoy!

Air and Space Museum

Air and Space Museum in Dulles, VA

Me and the kids in front of the Space Shuttle Enterprise.

Okay so you've all probably heard me whine about Virginia, the snobby uptight people that think:
  • If you don't use a coaster the cup will burn a hole in the table
  • It's rude to ask for a drink of water at someone's house??? (Yep you read right, this was actually something a Virginiaite told Kenzi) Go figure, psychos!
  • Take your shoes off
  • My carpet is worth more than your life, or anyone alive for that matter
  • Everyone drives a mercedes, a traffic jam looks like a mercedes dealership
  • Even if you live in a studio apartment you waste your money on a car with a hood ornament cause it's all about the money out here. People are worthless, money is everything. It's scary I tell ya.
  • A spot in their beautiful house or car means certain death....
  • blah, blah, blah right?
First thing I would like to say, I'm SOOOOO glad I don't have any maners!!!!

**Atleast by Virginia standards ha ha.

Well how about I tell you some of the positive things about living in Virginia:

  • All the American history sites
  • Visiting D.C.
  • The monuments
  • FREE museums
  • Gorgeous country when you get outside the city
  • STICKY FINGERS!!!!! YUM!
  • Dave's school is 2 blocks from the White House
  • Trees, Trees and more Trees
  • You can be camping in the mountains or chillin on the beach within a 2 hour drive!
Okay okay, they aren't really mountains by Utah standards, how bout, big tall hills ;-D

Today we actually went to Harpers Ferry where the civil war started but I am behind in my posts, ha ha. I can't be too perfect you know or I'd be translated so I've got to have some flaws. Okay I guess I can't fool you all, you already know I'm about as far from perfect as it gets so you'll all just have to deal I guess.

Here Kenzi and Camdyn are standing in front of Space Shuttle Enterprise.

The thing was monstrous, this picture does not do it justice at all. It was amazing to stand there looking up at it. It's an experience I'll never forget.

Living in Northern Virginia has it's definite perks, experiences like these are amazing. As much difficulty as we have had being accepted by the traditionalist Virginians who can't stand that I am so non-traditional...homeschooling, vegan, alternative medicine etc... We are truly enjoying the experiences where we don't have to interact with the natives, ha ha.

Me and the kids, well obviously :-). I have no idea what kind of fighter plane that is behind us, so I'll just be Vanna White. See how pretty this plane is.....

Okay, so anyway, we were having a great time seeing all the fighter planes in this area.

Here is a photo of the Concord!!

You cannot even imagine the sheer SIZE of this plane. It is amazing!

I can't believe they could fit this thing into a building. It is such a sleek, awesome looking plane. It would be awesome to fly in, especially since it's FAST!!

The BLACKBIRD!!

This plane is AWESOME!!
It flew from Los Angelas to D.C. in 1 hour 20 minutes!!!
It flies at 2200 miles per hour!

This thing was LONG and very cool looking. I think I need to buy myself one of these so I can fly out to visit y'all and I can be there in under an hour. See we could fly out on the weekends and be home for Dave to go to school on Monday nights. Hey, even better we can all pool our money together and buy one.

Okay, okay, in my dreams but it would be nice.

Okay, in this video you will see a picture of a ride, a red space ship looking thing. It gave an interactive tour of the international space station, so cool! The kids hated it. It didn't even move that much, the pansies. We can't take them anywhere.

Kenzi's Birthday Party, 9 years Old!

Kenzi is 9 years old!

Okay, before you start the crazy judgements:

I humbly admit that my darling daughter looks like a homeless child. I wanted to do her hair and make her look like a pretty little princess for her birthday, but alas I was in the kitchen ALL DAY making the cupcakes, cake and two different kinds of frosting she ordered.

As soon as the cake and cupcakes were done kids were already coming and I was painfully aware that she was going to just have to look like the scrounge muffin she loves to be! SIGH!

I must admit, the endless hours I have spent combing out her hair while she wails at the top of her lungs have been rough. I guess today I might as well let it go and spare us both the pain, UGH.

My dream of having a daughter so I could do her hair and make her pretty are completely lost on Kenzi, if she had it her way she'd never take a bath, never have her hair done and would wear the same dirty sweats with holes in them EVERYDAY! What's a mother to do :-(

I made chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting and chocolate ganache. Then I made a chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and sprinkles. If you want to know how to make whole wheat chocolate cake eggless and delicious, let me know, this cake was a HIT!

Here my little scrounge muffin is blowing out her candles.

She had more boys at her party than girls, if this is any indication of the future, I want nothing to do with it :-)

She is staying 9 forever!

Camdyn ate half the cake, literally, no exaggeration. That must be why he is in the 90th percentile in weight for a 6 year old.

Yes, we eat healthy but this kid can pack in the food like a 300 pound football player. I fear he may end up looking like one. We may end up living in a cardboard box just so we can feed Cam.

Whoever said vegan kids are scrawny will have to eat their words when they take a look at Cam. He's anything but scrawny.

The party crowd. It was a small party but they had fun. I wasn't able to take a picture of the HUGE birthday cake they drew in the cul-de-sac with sidewalk chalk because it washed away in the rain. All in all the party was fun, Kenzi loved it and well, mommy just let her have an enjoyable day in her old, grubby clothes and 'clean' but messy hair.

Hurricane Hannah

Hurricane Hannah

Okay, I realize that it was not actually a hurricane when it hit us, in fact it wasn't even 'technically' a tropical storm when it hit, but nonetheless we enjoyed the extreme weather anyway :-)

The kids had so much fun playing in the rain, the street looked like a shallow river the entire day! The stream down the street on the path filled FAR beyond capacity and knocked down the weeds and brush about 3 feet beyond the banks.

Some neighbors were bailing water out of their basements and we did lose power for about 45 minutes.

Kenzi and Cam spent quite a bit of time outside with their umbrellas.

Mommy was curled up on the screened porch reading 'Twilight' and enjoying the beautiful sound of the birds and the rain.

The kids did get completely soaked, the umbrellas really didn't do them any good, with the wind blowing the rain in all directions, they got soaked anyway.

Here is Soaking wet Kenzi! The coats didn't do a whole lot for them, your going to be cold no matter what if you are drenched.

They both came in begging for mommy's cashew milk hot chocolate!

**That hot chocolate recipe won an award in a recipe contest!
Anyone who wants to try the recipe, email me and I'll send it to you, it's delicious!

And here is little Cam, gee that umbrella is REALLY working for him isn't it! Oh, well the most important thing is that they were having a BALL out there in the rain.

You can't tell from the photos but it POURED for about 24 hours. I've never seen so much rain in my entire life!

Well you can tell how much they enjoyed the rain because it's dark and they were still out playing! We finally made them come inside and get in the warm tub.
It was a very quiet day at home and I read most of Twilight that day. I couldn't put the book down, that was an AWESOME book. I highly recommend it.

Daddy's First Day of School

Daddy's First Day of School

Well the day we have all been waiting for has arrived. This whole fiasco started one year ago on July 17th 2008 while we were in North Carolina!

Daddy officially started school on 8/11/08. I realize I am a bit behind on posts, again. Well, what can I say, perfection is a thing I aspire to, but unfortunately it hasn't happened yet :-).

Daddy, Kenzi and Cam. Of course my kids are hams what can I say, they'd rather pull a face than look pretty, I guess it makes life interesting huh. Daddy is ready for school, backpack and all. We were saying good bye, he is doing night school because unfortunately we didn't make enough money to live on by selling our house so daddy will have to work at some point.

Okay, how sappy am I? I take pictures of the whole event, but I thought you'd all enjoy it. Well actually I think there's a couple of proud parents that want to see this momentus occasion so Here's to them.

Kenzi and Cam follow him out, reaffirming that at some point they get to come and study at the Law School Library with him, right daddy?

Loading up the car, getting ready for the 45min to 1 hour commute to D.C.
Yes, we only live 30 miles away but when you live near D.C. EVERYTHING takes forever, well, mostly driving and getting phone service ;-)

Oh wait, no, after 4 times of standing in 2-3 hour lines to get license plates we FINALLY got them. Can you imagine getting up to the desk and having them say, I'm sorry we need one more paper, then the next time, I'm sorry you are leasing your car, your dealer must mail you power of attorney, AHHHHHHHH! Oh, would you like a side of my left arm with that ma'am? Okay, okay I'm kidding, back to the topic at hand, gee I can't seem to stay on track. Well, get used to it, if you've ever had a conversation with me your pretty used to the jibber jabber..hee hee..

I bet you can't guess what this is. Yep, the ritual of getting the monkeys to stop showing off in the trees long enough to give Daddy a kiss goodbye.

Kenzi was trying to show Daddy all her tricks before he left, he finally had to pull her out of the tree to say goodbye.

Bye Daddy, see you at 10pm!!!

Off daddy goes to school! Yeah, I know, he leaves me with the BIG huge Dodge Ram 3500 to drive around. You might not think that's a big deal, but if you haven't been to the D.C. area, don't mock!!

I thought about going to the grocery store 2 miles away from here tonight, yeah, THOUGHT about it. I'm still thinking....... Kenzi doesn't even want to. My driving is fine, traffic on the other hand, not so.

Last time I drove, I just about turned up the wrong side of the road....Ooops! So it seems I either get up the courage to drive that beast around the city or I become a recluse....what's the vote on that one :-D

Here is a photo from February when we came out here but I thought you'd want to see the front of the school. So, here it is, the George Washington Law School sign. So pretty!

And so the end of another episode of the GWU family adventure blog. Until next time, stay safe, be good and smile once in awhile!

Home Sweet Home

Home Sweet Home!

I'm sorry it's been two weeks since my last post but it took Verizon, two weeks to get us phone service, t.v. service and of course Internet service!

I was using wireless service and it is slower than 28k dial up so obviously posting pictures was out of the question. So.........drum roll please......the moment you've all been waiting for......Pictures of our new home!!!

It's a cute house, not big, but big enough to fit us...almost, except for Tandi's kitchen supplies. Obviously because I publish recipes for a living anything less than a large kitchen just won't fit, but in reality, things are good. A small kitchen is nothing to complain about in the grand scheme of things. Okay, enough rambling, let's get to the photos.

Here is Kenzi in her NEW room! She was adamant this whole time that she was going to get the BIGGEST room. Yes, we had a little argument about the fact that mommy and daddy would get the biggest room, she agreed, but then stated that she would get the next biggest.

Well, you know what they say about the best laid plans.......the smaller room was painted pink. Kenzi instantly fell in love with the pink room and gave up her original idea of having the BIGGEST room. Whew!! Dodged a bullet on that one.

Okay, here is Kenzi's room today. yes, we are pretty much moved in, everything has been put away. She didn't make her bed but I'd have to say, this is pretty clean for her so that's good.

All her school books are on the shelf, ready for school to start in a couple weeks.

Here is Cam standing in his new room, this was the day before we moved in. The colors in the room worked perfect with his comforter so we were pretty excited. The kids were running through the house, thrilled that we finally had a place to live after a full month in hotels.

Here is Cam's room fully decorated, well sort of. Yes, the room is a mess, what else is new. This kid is a walking tornado, so if the room looks anything less than ready to be condemned by the health department, it's all good!

He does have a full bed, we figured when family comes to visit they can stay in his room. Plus he is growing like a weed, in the 75th percentile for his age so choosing a full bed was probably good, I think he'll grow out of a twin by the time he's a teenager. Don't ask me where he got the size from, it certainly was NOT me, well, Dave doesn' have it either but the genes are hidden in there somewhere :-)

Here is the living room, I think I did a good job decorating it. This is all new furniture, it was tons of fun to shop for it. You can see not all the pictures have been hung on the walls yet but it's only been two weeks and Dave is now in study hibernation so who knows if it will happen :-)

I know the men are probably bored to tears, so if you aren't interested in talk about the house and furniture, sorry but the ladies are hee hee.

Okay it's not decorated perfectly but it's cute. We found a couch to match the chairs Dad made which was really cool! One stupid thing about the house, NO LIGHTS! Not a single one in any bedroom or living area. So we had to buy floor lamps. But they add a nice touch anyway :-)

On to the dining room, it fits the table alright, but who knows where I'm going to put the hutch to hide all the rest of my kitchen junk in here. We'll have to figure something out because I've got to get that kitchen finished. I'm still fishing through boxes whenever I want to make something. Continually searching for pans, spices etc....

On to the much talked about kitchen. You will notice the island, we had to buy that to fit some of my stuff in and let me tell you, it didn't fit 1 m illionth of the stuff I'd hoped it would fit.
Okay so the kitchen isn't clean either, we just had dinner, but I figured if I didn't get a picture now whose to say it would be clean next time I thought of it. Plus what's a clean kitchen anyway. Any good chef never has a clean kitchen anyway, or better yet, anyone with children never has a clean kitchen. The minute lunch is done and cleaned up the kids are hungry again anyway. So, there's our lovely, tiny, semi-clean kitchen.

My favorite part of the whole house!!

This is the screened sun porch. I LOVE this. We have eaten breakfast out here and have had lunch out here as well.

You can here the birds chirping and all the bugs, don't ask me what kind I have no idea because we don't have them in Utah but they make noise.

It is so peaceful and quiet, you can see all the trees in the back, it is so beautiful!!

Here are a couple photos of the backyard. We do have grass, but interestingly in Virginia, you don't water the lawn. If you don't get enough rain to keep it green, it kind of goes brown. Weird I know but they generally have enough rain to keep it pretty green.

You can see in the left photo the forest behind the house. It is really pretty and gives awesome privacy. There are homes behind us but we have about 100ft of forest, there are deer, squirrels, birds and loud bugs back there.

Well, that is the tour of our new home. I know you may be wondering, what about the master bedroom. Well, I ordered BEAUTIFUL furniture for it, but it won't be here for another 2-3 weeks. So we are on a mattress on the floor with clothes in plastic bins so I will spare you the pictures of that mess, well organized mess anyway :-)

Maybe when my furniture comes I will email it to you.

Tommorrow I will post Dave's First Day of School pictures.

Our Hotel Home Sweet Home

Our Home for the past 8 Days!!!!

This is actually the living room, Cam was sleeping in the fold out couch, you can see the T.V. in the picture. He was not happy about the fact that everyone was always in "HIS room." But it also happened to be the living area, I am standing right next to the kitchen table, yes, it is tiny but for a hotel suite it sure was nice. It just wasn't quite suited to actually, "live in."

Here is our lovely Kitchen. We were atleast able to have, cereal, PB&J sandwiches and of course I made some chocolate chip cookies, with no recipe. The cookies turned out amazing I was pretty proud of myself for that one!

The kitchen was really tiny but it was nice to have one while living in a hotel.

Here is our bedroom, it was a nice room. Okay, so I realize you are thinking, B-O-R-I-N-G, right? Well, when you have been traveling (and sharing a bedroom) with children suffering from "permawhining" for 3 WEEKS. Your 'OWN' bedroom is like heaven on earth!!!!!

So as you look at this boring picture of a hotel room, keep in mind that this was actually the key to our sanity! :-D

Toby, Kenzi, Katie and Cam all in Cam's bed in the living area. You can see Dave's bike in the background. It should come as no surprise that it is there, Yes, there are days I think he loves that bike more than me. Just kidding, but of course he can hardly part with the thing even though it's only been ridden once in the past 4 weeks.

Toby and Katie have been wonderful. Although as I write Toby is sleeping in his crate, in the back of the truck with the windows cracked. Why? Because the little pill wakes up and scratches, loudly, on his crate at 4am and 7am and we have HAD IT!!

Fishy made it the WHOLE 3200 miles across the country!!

The amazing thing about fishy, he is 4 years old and traveled in the front of the truck in a quart jar with a lid that had a bunch of wholes poked in it. He rode the whole way, stayed in hotels with us and yes, it did get knocked over a few times, we had a few water spills but he's here and still swimming.

Grandpa Gerber didn't think he'd make it but he did!

Virginia Warning;

Okay, so it's probably a fair guess that none of you will ever be moving to Virginia but if you ever do, DO NOT rent a house!!!! Ever!!!

We naively thought it would be like Utah, OH NO!! Not so! As our Real Estate agent put it, very politely, people in Virginia make everything Difficult!! Well, that was an understatement:

After blood samples, DNA testing, giving up our first born plus a few fingers, being searched, credit checked, accountant called to verify income, all previous employers verified, background checked, bags searched, and being fingerprinted we finally got a house!!

Okay, so maybe that was a very slight exaggeration but not by much!!!

The real story: Rentals are done by management companies and real esatate agents. You pay a processing fee of $80 to $100 per application for a rental and you will NOT get the first rental you apply for, so plan on spending minium $300 to $400 just to apply for rentals!

Your credit is checked, they will call all previous employers in our case up to 10 years ago, they will call your accountant, they will check your current employment, they will ask for W-2 forms to prove income, the do charge application fees, it does take up to 10 days to "process" your application and you haven't even gotten to the 14 page rental agreement yet!!

They will reject your application for rediculous reasons even if you asked before hand if it was okay. Basically they make some money off application fees for awhile and then rent out the house, talk about a conflict of interest!

So, yes we applied for three homes and only got the last one because the owners were desperate to rent it. It was more a blessing than anything. Can you tell we are just ever so slightly bitter about the rental process.

We ran into a family living in the next hotel room over who had been living in the hotel much longer than us looking for a rental too. Apparently it is common to spend $3500 to $4000 per month in a hotel while looking for a rental.

Everyone we have talked to gives us a smirk when they find out we came from a laid back small town and the say, well, the people out here are quite different. Meaning uptight and I will tell you they are nice but perfectionistic like you've never seen.

So, after the nightmarish rental process I hope things will settle down and we can enjoy our adventure.

I think once the bleeding stops and the wounds heal we'll be as good as new. Okay, I'm just kidding, it was just a rough reality check that we can look back at and laugh, although it wasn't funny at the time.

I know there were some valuable lessons in patience and faith that we learned through the process so it wasn't really a bad thing, but in our imperfection we found the whole process a little over the top. The big lesson in all of it, is have faith and enjoy the ride because no matter how much you dislike the situation, it is what it is and your frustration and worry won't change a thing!

Frog hunting and Bedtime in the Hotel Suite

Frog Hunting and Bedtime in the Hotel Suite

The kids are dressed and ready for their frog hunt before bed. Kenzi brought her little lantern to help find the froggies.

*Disclaimer, no froggies were hurt in the making of this blog

There is a pond near the hotel and there are a lot of toads/frogs hopping around. The hotel is surrounded by grass, trees, and a picnic area so there is a lot of nature around. The kids became fascinated with the frogs that can be seen hopping around the parking lot. So Dave decided to go on a family frog hunt at 8:45. The kids were excited.....well for now.

The frog search is on! Kenzi is intently searching for the first frog of the night. The dogs were with us but they were off sniffing away, not at all interested in the frogs so it was all good.

Kenzi was the one who enjoyed this excursion the most. She is our animal lover, and sorry grandpa Gerber somehow she became an avid environmentalist, at least she begs us to recycle all the time :-)

First frog of the night!! Kenzi was able to touch him, Cam tried and then freaked out when he moved.

He was a cute little frog or toad, whatever he was, he was cute. He posed for the cute for the camera.

Cam did not like it when the frogs moved, and all the sudden the excitement turned to fear. He loved looking at them, but from a distance.

Evidence: Cam is hiding behind Dave as they examine Frog number 2.

I thought this was a cute picture of Cam hiding behind daddy. Cam kept screaming as the frogs would jump away. It was pretty funny. He wasn't terrified, just screaming a little. He said he liked them as long as they didn't move.

The search for froggies continues. I know this is a lot of photos for an evening froggie hunt but they are so darn cute.

Overall it was a very successful evening. We saw 3 frogs and 1 big toad. Although if you ask Kenzi we saw 8 frogs, because they saw the same one several times so her story is much better.

At the end of the night this big toad was standing in front of the door to the hotel. Cam ran away and Kenzi wanted to pet him.

It was a great ending to our frog hunt.

Time for bed. This is Cam's room, or otherwise known as the living room in the suite. He sleeps on the couch fold out bed.

He seems to enjoy it, he's usually completely asleep within about 5 minutes. Generally snoring and all.

Good night Kenzi. She is our stubborn one, she takes forever to fall asleep, asks for a drink of water, food, you name it. But here she is in her room in the hotel suite. You can see Katie's crate right next to her bed.

She has bonded with Katie and wanted her in her room. Toby has to sleep in the kitchenette because his snoring keeps everyone awake except for me and snoring Cam.

Well that was our fun outing today, it's late and time for bed.
